About the Speakers

Sam Molina
Program Coordinator II

Sam has been with Tucson Electric Power’s renewable energy department for five years. He began his career running Tucson Electric Power’s Commercial DG program and overseeing the performance-based Incentive program for large non-residential renewable technology installations. Sam was a key member in the development and day-to-day operations of the Tucson Electric Power Owned Residential Solar Program.

Today Sam is responsible for the creation of all the workflows and processes for Tucson Electric Power’s PowerClerk programs, and is currently working on a process to bring large scale interconnections into PowerClerk.

Blanka Anderson
Program Coordinator III

Blanka is a 30-year utility employee spending the majority of her career in Tucson Electric Power’s Renewable Department. She works closely with installers and customers, guiding them in the interconnection application process from beginning to end. She has been involved in various aspects of customer programs offered by Tucson Electric Power, including internal processes, improvements, legal documents, project review and acceptance.

Currently Blanka is responsible for assuring customers of approved meter sets, providing guidance and training to coordinators new to the department, and process linked to the implementation of PowerClerk.  

Scott Tewel
Product Manager, PowerClerk
Clean Power Research
As the product manager for PowerClerk, Scott is charged with aligning PowerClerk products to the evolving needs of the distributed energy and energy efficiency process management spaces. In this role, Scott has helped 19 utilities and energy agencies launch more than 30 incentive and interconnection programs since 2013, guiding customers in the development of streamlined, cost-saving workflows that incorporate PowerClerk’s built-in best practices.

Previously, Scott supported the utility industry in the role of product and sales manager at IncSys, provider of a web-hosted power system simulator. Scott attended the University of Washington, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering.
